New Testament

Class Time: Wednesdays 5pm starting September 1st

Office Hour: Tuesday 5PM

TextbookThe Ignatius Bible: Revised Standard Version

Class Desciption:

This course will be focused on studying one of the most critical aspects of our faith, the New Testament. The various Saints throughout our Catholic history have exhorted us to be deeply immersed within Scripture for the salvation of our souls and the conversion of those who are outside of the One Holy Catholic Apostolic Church. As St. Jerome said, "For if, as Paul says, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God, and if the man who does not know Scripture does not know the power and wisdom of God, then ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ." This course will mainly be focused on the teachings of the New Testament that are the foundation of our faith, the New Testament commentaries of the great Doctors of the Church, and various apologetic lessons to defend the Catholic faith using the New Testament.

"For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart."- Hebrews 4:12.
